The South Pacific Extension and Development Institute (SPEDI) is a specialised research and knowledge-exchange institute established in 2025 within the College of Agriculture, Fisheries and Forestry (CAFF) at Fiji National University (FNU). SPEDI operates at the intersection of academia, field practice, and policy, bringing together researchers, extension professionals, development partners, and rural communities to support climate-smart innovation, sustainable agriculture, applied research, entrepreneurship, and community development across Fiji and the Pacific.
