What is the Student Learning Hub?

The Student Learning Hub (SLH) is a central support service designed to promote academic success, personal growth, and skill development for FNU students across all disciplines. SLH provides a welcoming walk-in space where students can access academic support, learning resources, and guidance to help them navigate university life more confidently and effectively. SLH is for all students—whether you need help adjusting to university studies, strengthening your learning skills, or accessing support services to enhance your overall student experience.

  • 8.30am – 4.30pm (Monday – Thursday)
  • 8.30am – 4.00pm (Friday)

Note:
SLH services are closed during public holidays and weekends.

About the Student Learning Hub The Student Learning Hub (SLH) provides holistic support to help students succeed academically while developing essential life and study skills. Our friendly and qualified staff offer guidance, resources, and referrals to ensure students receive the right support at the right time.
Student Success Specialists will
  • Provide academic support and study guidance
  • Support students’ personal growth and wellbeing
  • Assist with learning strategies, time management, and goal setting
  • Connect students with relevant university services and resources
  • Offer a safe, respectful, and inclusive learning environment
  • Encourage student independence and confidence
  • Treat all students with respect and uphold confidentiality
Student Success Specialists will not
  • Complete academic work on students’ behalf
  • Provide answers to assessments or examinations
  • Assign grades or assess coursework

How it works

Walk-in Support SLH operates as a walk-in support hub, allowing students to access services without prior appointments. Students may visit the hub individually or participate in group-based activities and support sessions when available.

Visiting the Hub Students are encouraged to walk in during opening hours to seek assistance.

How long can I stay at SLH?

The length of support varies depending on student needs and service availability. Students may receive brief guidance or extended support sessions depending on the nature of their enquiry.

How do I prepare for a visit to SLH?

Before your visit
