Under the banner of the Fiji National University (FNU), the National Training and Productivity Centre (NTPC) is the leading training institution that provides skills based practical-oriented trainings to its local and regional workforce. NTPC offers over 600 courses each year to new entrants into the workforce as well as to the existing workforce.  It is committed to provide training, not only to meet industry’s needs but also to increase and sustain the number of skilled, up-skilled and re-skilled workforce the Industries.

Scheduled Programmes

NTPC offers industry orientated, trade, technical, business, management, finance and productivity programmes in the areas of Automotive and Mechanical, Information Technology, Executive Management, Construction, Electrical & Electronic Engineering and Tourism Hospitality Fashion Travel.

Internationally Franchised Qualifications

NTPC has over 20 years of experience in delivering internationally franchised qualifications in Fiji. This allows our graduates to gain superior recognition locally, as well as in Australia and New Zealand. Our strong Strategic partners are: APO, TAFE WSI/NSW, CompTIA, ICDL Asia, NSCA, Pearson Vue, Pivot Point and FIT College.

Trade Test and Apprenticeship

NTPC is the only training Institution in Fiji that provides Trade Tests and Apprenticeship Scheme that has enabled thousands of participants acquire trade certifications.  This has ensured that the tradesmen are current in their knowledge and skills and they become highly employable in the industry.

Stakeholder Engagement

For over 40 years, NTPC has engaged with the trade and technical industries, locally and regionally to formulate training packages, suited for the existing workforce.  A team of experts and specialist from the industry are selected and they come together to provide their services towards improving our training packages

Mode of Training

NTPC offers on-the-job and in-house training to the industry as well as through its Centres located across Fiji. Our trainings are also delivered face-to-face and online. The Centres and Campuses provide Simulators such as Mobile Laptop training, Training Restaurant, Kitchen, hotel room, online reservation system and Technical workshops

Our Trainers

Our trainers are industry practitioners and we have policies in place to ensure that the trainers are always up to date with the current industry practices and developments. We offer multi-skilled qualified trainers who can help students to achieve their goals. Our trainers have the capacity to take the training to the participant’s level of understanding even without the proper education qualification
