Foundation Mathematics Proficiency Assessment (FMPA) is an optional, non-credit, online diagnostic tool designed to help you assess your mathematical skills. Although it is not compulsory, we recommend every first-year student take advantage of this free-of-charge opportunity. If there are areas in the course assessment that you found difficult, you are most welcome to attend the Math Help Hub (MH2). Aside from this assessment, please feel free to attend the Math Help Hub (MH²) if there are topics you would just like to brush up.

Online learning is education that takes place over the internet. It is one of the fastest growing trends in educational uses of technology. Demand for flexible online courses has continued to increase as potential students seek to upskill, re-train, and undertake further study. At FNU, we want our students to be on par with current educational technology and maximise their learning experiences through innovative strategies. The Centre for Learning and Teaching Enhancement (CLTE) has designed the Learning to Learn Online (LTLO) course to assist students transition from traditional face-to-face learning to contemporary online modes of learning.
LTLO is an optional course designed to introduce you to the online learning environment and to your role as an online learner. This course will equip you with the knowledge and strategies to manage your online learning, plan online assignments, communicate with an online instructor, and manage your assignments.
All FNU students are encouraged to complete this course, which is free of charge, self-directed, and self-paced. This course is available in Moodle and will take approximately six hours to complete. After successful completion of the course, you will be awarded an electronic badge that will be displayed on your Moodle profile.
