KORONIVIA, Fiji – The Fiji National University’s College of Agriculture, Fisheries and Forestry (CAFF) recently hosted Rooster Poultry as part of the ongoing partnership between the two institutions.
The purpose of the visit was to conduct graduate trainee interviews with Bachelor of Animal Science students who will be completing their studies soon. This initiative provides a valuable pathway for students to secure future employment and gain industry exposure.
CAFF Dean, Dr Kaliova Ravuiwasa, said the visit reflects the college’s commitment to strengthening links with industry partners to ensure graduates are work-ready.
“Our students are introduced to employment opportunities while also learning from leading players in the poultry sector,” Dr Ravuiwasa said. “
The knowledge and insights shared by Rooster Poultry are vital in preparing our students to contribute meaningfully to the agriculture industry.”
The collaboration between CAFF and Rooster Poultry is guided by a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU), which aims to create platforms for student training, research, and employment pathways.
The visit not only provided students with interview experience but also enhanced their awareness of the poultry industry, further equipping them for careers in agriculture and animal science.
