Posted On: January 20, 2025
The Fiji National University’s (FNU) nation-wide roadshow for Semester 1, 2025 is now in full swing.
Launched on Saturday, 11 January, in Nausori, the roadshow is visiting towns and cities across the country, helping Fijians to take advantage of the university’s “One-Stop-Shop” approach to education.
This week, the FNU Enrolment Drive Team are visiting various locations, including the Northern Division, to assist students with academic counselling, applications, and accommodation booking.
The university’s Vice-Chancellor, Professor Unaisi Nabobo-Baba, expressed her pride in this initiative, saying, “We are committed to making education accessible and inclusive for all Fijians. This roadshow brings academic counselling, enrolments, and instant offer letters directly to your doorstep.”
“In today’s fast-paced world, we want to ensure a seamless experience for our prospective students.”
“That’s why we are offering the convenience of cashless payments at all roadshow venues. This makes our roadshow not just accessible, but also modern and user-friendly.”
FNU is also dedicated to supporting students’ ambitions through a comprehensive range of financial aid options.
“We urge students to explore the various scholarships and financial assistance available,” Professor Nabobo-Baba added.
“Every student deserves the chance to pursue their dreams, and we are here to support them.”
“We encourage everyone to come along, learn more about our programmes, and take the first step towards your future.”
In an inspiring moment, Epeli Daukea, who hails from Nasoqo village in Namosi, shared his excitement about being the first in his family among ten siblings to receive an opportunity to study at university.
The 23-year-old received an offer letter during FNU’s Roadshow in Navua to pursue his education in Bachelor of Education (Secondary) in Home Economics.
“I thank FNU for coming down to Navua and providing us this opportunity to enrol in their programme,” Daukea said excitedly.
“My father is a farmer by trade and I have seen the struggles he has gone through in life. With this opportunity, I want to make him proud as he has always motivated me that Education is the key to success in life.”
FNU warmly invites students and parents to join the ongoing roadshow.
