FNU Student Complaint Portal virtual launch.

Fiji National University (FNU) in conjunction with the Fiji National University Students Association (FNUSA) has launched a one-stop portal for students to raise issues and concerns, as part of its commitment to enhance the student experience.

The portal was launched in the presence of FNU Senior Leadership Team (SLT) members and FNUSA representatives. The portal is specifically designed for enrolled and potential students to give their suggestions or raise concerns, which will be resolved within agreed timelines.

FNU Vice-Chancellor Professor Toby Wilkinson said, “The new portal supports FNU’s new Strategic Plan with its focus on enhancing the Student Experience and streamlining processes.”

“This new portal will enable students to lodge their concerns in one place, providing for more efficient, effective and timely resolution of issues.”

“Like all our services, it will benefit from continuous improvement, so please give us feedback and constructive suggestions for how the portal can be made even better.”

The FNU Student Complaints portal has been conceptualized and developed by the Office of the Registrar, Division of Information Communications & Technology and FNUSA.

The Office of the Registrar will coordinate with Deans and Directors at FNU to ensure that students’ concerns are centrally received and resolved as speedily as possible. The Senior Leadership Team has given its full support towards ensuring that FNU students’ concerns are resolved with a one-stop service approach.

FNU Registrar, Ms Sarita Devi said that looking for innovative ways to serve our students is critical for student satisfaction.

She said staff have undertaken training and are eager to use the new portal to provide enhanced services to students.

“We are extremely confident of working in partnership with our students and especially FNUSA who were part of the development by trialing and giving suggestions. We are committed to actively listening and developing platforms together that best serve student needs and this is vital as we move forward.”

FNUSA President Ketan Lal highlighted that this platform will enable students to speak freely about their concerns without the fear of being victimized.

“This is an opportunity for students to directly liaise with the University to iron out their issues. The concerns raised by the students through this portal will be managed with extreme care and diligence by the Office of Registrar who are the custodians of the portal.”

“I encourage students to give their feedback and recommendations through this portal for improving student experiences at the university,” Lal added.
