Krishna Kumar.
Final-year Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS) student, Krishna Kumar is excited to reap the rewards of his six-year journey at the Fiji National University (FNU).
Kumar will be graduating from FNU’s College of Medicine, Nursing and Health Sciences (CMNHS) this Thursday, 22 December 2022.
“It was a long journey of six years. I feel excited and proud to have come this far in life and graduate as a doctor- what seemed to be an impossible dream is now coming to life,” he shared.
The 24-year-old, originally from Lautoka, shared these sentiments while collecting his graduation gown at FNU’s Nasinu Campus yesterday.
“It was not an easy ride, staying away from family and venturing into a new environment. Sitting amongst some of the great minds in my cohort was surely intimidating and encouraging at the same time, allowing me to break all barriers and strive for excellence”
“I cannot summarise my six years of medical school experience in a few words because the journey was a story of its own.
“All I can say is there were a lot of ups and downs, but with the grace of God, continuous support from my family, friends and colleagues, the long journey is now coming to an end. Every story has an end, but in life every ending is just a new beginning.”
The future doctor recommends FNU to prospective students, saying the University was continuously evolving in its learning approach and is heading towards positive advancement.
“FNU is evolving, becoming more advanced. It provides a variety of extracurricular activities to help enhance academic performance. I would recommend people to join FNU and be part an amazing culture and environment.”
The Vodafone Arena in Suva will be filled with close to 800 graduands who have successfully completed their selective programmes from CMNHS during the graduation ceremony.
