New Alumni Network Logo

The Fiji National University (FNU) introduced its new Alumni Network logo and identity at the Grand Alumni Fundraising Ball, marking a milestone in enhancing engagement with its alumni community and celebrating their ongoing role as ambassadors of the University.

The logo draws inspiration from the Pacific mangrove tree, Dogo, symbolising resilience, community, and growth. Its design embodies the core values and vision of the Alumni Network:

  • Roots represent the seven FNU institutions, uniting the University’s rich history and shared heritage.
  • Stem, shaped like two cupped hands, signifies FNU’s commitment to uplifting underserved communities.
  • Branches highlight key alumni contributions, including scholarships, the Coffee Forward initiative, the Veilomani Closet, and the Food Pantry.
  • Leaves symbolise students, who draw strength and support from the broader alumni community.

FNU Vice-Chancellor, Professor Unaisi Nabobo-Baba, emphasised that the refreshed identity reflects the University’s values of inclusivity, resilience, and innovation. She noted that the logo represents FNU’s expanding alumni network, reaching across Fiji and beyond, who actively contribute to national and global development.

“This new identity captures who we are—firmly rooted in our heritage, united as a community, and dedicated to nurturing future generations,” said Professor Nabobo-Baba.

She added, “Our alumni are the living legacy of FNU. This logo stands for the enduring bond we share and the collective strength of our graduates who continue to inspire positive change and support communities.”

The unveiling received enthusiastic applause from alumni and guests, recognising the importance of a strong, recognisable brand in connecting past, present, and future FNU graduates. The new logo will serve as a visual cornerstone for alumni events, networking, and philanthropic initiatives led by the FNU Foundation.

“With this refreshed identity, we celebrate our heritage while shaping the future. The FNU Alumni Network will remain a vital platform for connection, collaboration, and contribution—keeping our alumni at the heart of the University’s journey.”
