The Fiji National University (FNU) is proud to announce the graduation of four of its PhD students during its December ceremonies, marking a historic milestone in the university’s academic journey.
The graduation ceremonies will be held at two venues: the Vodafone Arena in Suva from Tuesday, 9 December to Thursday, 11 December, and the FNU Naiyaca Campus in Labasa on Tuesday, 16 December.
For the first time, FNU will honour a PhD graduate from the College of Agriculture, Fisheries and Forestry (CAFF), and the College of Engineering and Technical Vocational Education and Training (CETVET). Additionally, the College of Business, Hospitality and Tourism Studies (CBHTS) will celebrate its first-ever local PhD graduate. All four graduates are proud locals who have achieved this significant milestone through dedication and perseverance.
The Suva ceremonies will warmly recognise the achievements of three students from these colleges, while the Naiyaca Campus will honour the fourth graduate from the College of Humanities, Education and Law (CHEL). This momentous occasion underscores FNU’s commitment to fostering academic excellence and empowering local talent.
FNU Vice-Chancellor, Professor Unaisi Nabobo-Baba, expressed her heartfelt congratulations: “It is with immense pride and joy that we celebrate these four remarkable individuals. Their dedication to research and scholarship exemplifies the university’s mission to nurture local expertise that can contribute meaningfully to Fiji’s development. These graduates inspire us all to strive for excellence.”
