As the first week of the nationwide Fiji National University (FNU) roadshow draws to an end today, numerous Fijians have been offered hope through its Higher Education and TVET programmes.

FNU’s Outreach Manager, Ella Bennion, expressed her gratitude to the students who chose FNU to pursue their dreams.

“The roadshow kicked off to a flying start last Saturday and the momentum has continued throughout this week in various locations nationwide with some really inspiring stories that many people can relate to,” said Bennion.

“Having parents, grandparents, and siblings accompany their children has set the pace for their learning and FNU has set the pace for their tertiary journey.”

She wishes to remind Fijians across the nation that FNU belongs to them and has a place for everyone.

“FNU is YOUR university! We have something for everyone. Our support does not stop at admissions, we are there to support each student to the finish line.”

“You, students are our main stakeholders. Parents are just as important stakeholders as our students and at FNU we value you. Together with your children, we can continue to build a better future for them and where FNU will be the first choice for generations to come.”

Meanwhile, Bukuya native, Mereseini Naola, caught the 5 am carrier from her village to collect her brother, Epineri Goneva’s offer letter for a Bachelor of Science in Agriculture offered at the College of Agriculture, Fisheries and Forestry (CAFF) from the Ba FNU Roadshow venue.

“My brother’s childhood dream was to join FNU’s Koronivia Campus after high school and I am a proud sister today that he has finally made it!” said Naola.

“I am grateful for the FNU team for being here today as it has truly made things so convenient for Fijians living in the rural and remote areas in Fiji.”

Noala encouraged Fijians to take advantage of the nationwide FNU roadshow to pursue their dreams.

The nationwide FNU roadshow will continue from Thursday, 23 January to Saturday, 01 February.
