The Fiji National University (FNU) proudly participated in the Ministry of Education’s West Careers Expo 2025, held at Natabua High School in Lautoka two weeks ago.

The annual event brought together key stakeholders from various sectors, providing students with a valuable opportunity to explore diverse career pathways, engage with experts, and make informed decisions about their future.

Ministry of Education Acting Senior Curriculum Specialist for Careers, Lasarusa Rakula, highlighted the significance of the expo, noting that the initiative offered students a rare opportunity to access a wealth of information in one place.

“We have invited many exhibitors so that our students can have the full benefit of all the experts in one place,” Rakula said.

“With over 1000 students attending, it was a big plus for us. This is an opportune time for students to identify their areas of interest, ask the right questions, and begin mapping out their future careers.”

The university’s outreach team engaged directly with the students and teachers from the various schools around the Lautoka area, answering questions, and providing guidance on academic programmes.

“The FNU being present here is a big plus to the students,” Mr Rakula added.

FNU remains dedicated to supporting such initiatives that empower Fiji’s young generation to take charge of their educational journey.
