Enrolment for Semester 2 at FNU is now open

Admission for Semester 2 is now open at the Fiji National University (FNU) which means that continuing and prospective students can apply online for study programmes or visit any campus to receive academic counselling and assistance with the admission and registration process.

FNU has multiple entry pathways, which provide students with the option of taking up the technical and vocational education and training (TVET) programmes comprising of Certificates and Diplomas. Alternatively, the Higher Education (HE) programmes which consists of Degree, Postgraduate, Masters and Doctorate (PhD) studies are also on offer.

This ensures prospective students from Fiji and the region have an opportunity to pursue their academic aspirations at Fiji’s national university.

“FNU is a proud dual-sector University, and we recognise that Technical and Vocational Education and Training (TVET) is as important as Higher Education for the future success of Fiji and other Pacific island nations,” said FNU’s Acting Vice-Chancellor Dr William May.

“We are also acutely aware, as you are, that TVET is critical to the post-pandemic economic recovery.”

“From short courses, apprenticeships, to certificates and trade diplomas, TVET enables young people and those already working to develop the skills, experience and competencies demanded by employers in a fast-changing global economy.”

TVET studies

Students completing or have completed Year 12 or 13 have the opportunity to undergo Semester 2, 2022 studies in any TVET course at FNU through financial assistance offered by the Tertiary Scholarships and Loans Service (TSLS).

FNU has 3474 places specifically available for TVET programmes in Semester 2. Offered through the University’s TVET Pasifika, these programmes are Certificate III, Certificate IV and Diploma level qualifications.

Students eligible for TSLS-funded studies must have successfully completed Year 12 with a minimum mark of 200/400 or completed Level I and II studies from the Technical College of Fiji or equivalent.
