You are the bridge that connects students to their dreams and aspirations.
This was the Acting Dean of the College of Humanities and Education (CHE), Professor Mesake Dakuidreketi’s message during the World Teachers’ Day and Fiji Day celebration at the Fiji National University (FNU) Nasinu Campus today.
“Today is our day, where we as educators gather to thank ourselves and all the other teachers in Fiji, in the region, and around the world for being at the forefront of creating individuals who are now living their dream jobs,” he said.
With the theme “Valuing Teachers’ Voices,” Mr Dakuidreketi said teachers play an important role in transferring knowledge and inspiring curiosity, fostering critical thinking, shaping values, and creating future leaders of the world.
He acknowledged all academics of CHE for their dedication to becoming teachers.
A moment of silence was also observed to remember all the teachers who had passed on.
“You are the force behind every student’s success, the guiding hand that helps them navigate challenges and celebrate triumphs. Let us continue to do great things and build our future leaders of tomorrow!”
