Students continue to attend the Fiji National University (FNU) Roadshow venues in large numbers.
This week marks the final week of the Roadshow, which, over the past two weeks, has successfully enroled hundreds of students from across the country, including those from Vanua Levu, into various programmes.
The Roadshow has been a resounding success, providing students with the opportunity to explore their study options and complete their enrolment processes with ease.
This week, the FNU team is available at the Roadshow locations to assist students who have yet to enrol or are still waiting for their offer letters.
The team will also provide support for students who wish to stay in campus dormitories.
One of the visitors at the Sigatoka venue, Ela Koroiyadi, has returned to education after a five-year break. She has chosen to enrol in the Diploma in Front Office Operations (Level 5) programme at FNU.
Koroiyadi made the decision to care for her father, who fell ill after she completed Year 12 in 2019.
“Last year, my father passed away, and I decided to pursue my studies this year. Thank you, FNU, for making the enrolment process more accessible to us,” she said.
In Nadi, a 19-year-old from Somosomo Village in Taveuni has chosen to pursue the CISCO Certified Network Associate programme at the College of Engineering and Technical Vocational Education and Training (CETVET).
He expressed his gratitude to his hardworking parents on Malolo Island and his siblings for their unwavering support.
In Navua, Shavil Chand was thrilled to receive his offer letter for the Certificate in Automotive Bodyworks programme at CETVET.
A resident of Vunimokonoko Back Road, Chand completed high school in 2019 and has since worked in his family’s garage, specialising in vehicle modification.
With his hands-on experience, he is eager to gain formal qualifications to enhance his skills and career prospects.
Chand’s journey highlights his dedication to the automotive industry, and he is excited to take this important step toward his future.
In Rakiraki, Ratu Luke has enroled in the Bachelor of Education (Primary) programme.
He shared that he has always aspired to become a teacher, inspired by his elder siblings who are also in the teaching profession.
In Nausori, Nidhi Singh received her offer letter for the Certificate in Baking & Patisserie (Level 3) programme at the College of Business, Hospitality, and Tourism Studies.
A former student of Vunimoli High School, Nidhi has always dreamed of becoming a pastry chef and is eager to join the FNU community in Semester 1, 2025.
The roadshow ends this Saturday.
