Bring Hope Home: FNU Ball Fuels Student Dreams

Posted On: August 21, 2025

“This is a call of hope.”

With these words, Professor Nii-K Plange, Acting Vice-Chancellor of the Fiji National University (FNU), appeals to all FNU alumni to join hands at the 2025 Alumni Grand Fundraiser Ball, to be held on 26 September 2025 at the Sheraton Fiji Golf and Beach Resort at Denarau in Nadi.

As the charitable heart of FNU, the Foundation was created to bridge the gap between potential and opportunity—empowering deserving students who face financial obstacles Funds raised from the Grand Ball will directly support scholarships for underserved students in 2026, fulfilling the University’s mission to uplift communities and cultivate future leaders.

This gala evening offers more than sophistication, it’s a reconnecting of souls, a celebration of shared heritage, and an act of giving that resonates across generations.

“Your attendance is not just a gesture—it is planting seeds of opportunity, nurturing dreams, and lighting pathways for those who need it most,” Professor Plange shared.

All alumni—whether based in Fiji or overseas—are warmly encouraged to don their finest, reminisce, and rally for a cause that matters deeply.

Professor Plange gently reminded alumni that, through unity, they have the power to make education accessible, transform dreams into reality, and brighten countless futures.
