The Fiji National University (FNU) Council has appointed Dr William May to be the Acting Vice-Chancellor effective today Friday, 1 April 2022. Dr May has great leadership experience and University knowledge which we believe is essential for the continued growth of the University at this point in time.  The term will be for six months.

Dr May replaces Professor Toby Wilkinson who completed his term on 31 March 2022.

I would like to take this opportunity to thank Professor Toby for his outstanding leadership and commitment to enhancing learning and teaching at FNU.

His many accomplishments in his 15-month term include the robust FNU Strategic Plan 2021-2026 that outlines opportunity and ambition, a forward-thinking Sustainability Plan and a commitment to the university’s Core Values.

The Council is currently finalising the Vice-Chancellor’s appointment. An announcement on this will be made in due course.
