Leadership and professional Development Workshop 2019

2 November , 2019 to 16 November , 2019
Venue: FNU Nabua Campus

A total of 55 participants were empowered to recognise and develop their leadership capabilities during a Leadership and Personal Development Training workshop organised by the Fiji National University’s (FNU), Alumni Relations Office on 2nd and 16th November, 2019.

The target audience were aspiring leaders, those interested in personal development and those in positions of leadership and authority who were interested in growing their leadership capabilities.

The one-day training provided the participants with an opportunity to measure where the level of their influence is with those that they work closely with, based on the John Maxwell Team Five Levels of Leadership model.

In the area of personal development, the training focused on identifying personality types based on the DISC Personality Assessment model.  The participants were introduced to the model and given an opportunity to identify how their personality type drives their responses to people and to life in general.

Participants spent the day doing self-analysis, group activities and networking.  Everyone received a certificate for attending the training and a few lucky ones also received tokens for been active participants.

Hailed a success by the participants who consisted of FNU alumni, staff, students and other interested individuals, the training was held at FNU’s Nabua Campus in Suva. The one-day event was facilitated by Ana Laqeretabua, a John Maxwell certified speaker, coach and trainer.
