Timoci Tavanavanua
Timoci Tavanavanua hails from the island of Bau. He attended primary school at Levuka Public School before moving to Suva with his family.
He continued his primary education at Veiuto Primary School and then went on to Suva Grammar School and Marist Brothers High School to complete his secondary education.
Upon completion of secondary school, he joined Westpac Banking Corporation and worked there for 20 years before resigning in 2001 to pursue tertiary studies at the University of the South Pacific. He graduated in 2004.
In 2005, he was appointed the CEO of Fiji Rugby Union, where the Fiji team reached the quarter-finals during the 2007 Rugby World Cup. He was reappointed for a second term in 2009 but resigned for personal reasons. He then joined a mining company as a senior executive until 2022. He has served on the CWM Board of Visitors, Tailevu Provincial Council, and was a member of the GCC Review Team.
He is married to Beulah Viti Lomani, and together they have four children.
