Head Boy of Tavua College, Ashid Ali shared that he was fortunate to be part of FNU’s outreach programme as it has allowed him to make the final decision of what he has always dreamt to pursue with FNU’s College of Medicine, Nursing and Health Sciences.

Tavua College Head Boy, Ashid Ali.

“I always had this doubt when thinking about applying for Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery because of the high grades needed to get into the programme,” he said.
“I am a pure science student, and I will try my best to get into the programme because with this session by FNU, it has helped me realise that I have many other options too which I can choose from with the subject combination I have.”
The Year 13 student said joining FNU was always clear to him since Year 11 given the diverse programmes at the FNU, allowing students to secure endless opportunities to choose from.
Nilsen College student, Jaireh Burrah highlighted that after hearing about the career pathways available with the College of Agriculture, Fisheries and Forestry, she was interested to pursue Animal Science next year.
“Today’s session was beneficial for us senior students. For me personally, I am now confident with what programme I aim to take,” she added.
FNU teams stationed across the Western Division will be visiting close to 50 secondary schools.
