The Fiji National University (FNU) wishes to advise that undergraduate applications for Semester 1, 2026, at its College of Medicine, Nursing and Health Sciences (CMNHS) are now open and will close on 30 November 2025.
Acting Dean of CMNHS, Dr Amelia Turagabeci, said the College is proud to continue its legacy as the premier provider of medicine, nursing and healthcare education in Fiji and the wider Pacific region.
“Since its establishment, CMNHS has been at the forefront of training the region’s health professionals, producing doctors, nurses, and allied health practitioners who continue to serve communities with excellence and dedication,” the Acting Dean said.

“We strongly encourage Year 13 students who aspire to pursue careers in health to apply early through our online application system, ensuring that they upload all required documents. For those who may face challenges with the online process, we warmly welcome you to visit the Academic Office at your nearest FNU campus, where our staff will be pleased to provide assistance.”
The Acting Dean highlighted that while the College remains committed to nurturing the next generation of healthcare professionals, entry into its programmes is based on a quota system.
“Places in our programmes are limited and competitive; therefore, only applicants who meet the entry requirements will be considered. Selection will be carried out on merit, and we encourage all students to put forward their applications with confidence, knowing that the process is fair and transparent,” Dr Turagabeci said.
Prospective students are encouraged to apply well before the deadline to avoid last-minute challenges.
