The Fiji National University (FNU) continues to ensure that it takes its service to Fijians around Fiji through its roadshow.
This initiative is part of FNU’s ongoing efforts to make education accessible and convenient for all Fijians, regardless of their location or profession.
The FNU Roadshow is held at Navua, Nausori, Ba, Tavua, Rakiraki, Sigatoka, and Vanua Levu for three days, from Thursday to Saturday, over the next three weeks.
Nadi will start next week Thursday and Lautoka will start this Saturday.
Many students left with offer letters in hand, while others applied on the spot and received their admission offers immediately.
Rashika Riya Mali is the first in her family to study at FNU. She achieved this milestone after enroling in the Bachelor of Education (Primary) programme.
“It has always been my dream to become a teacher. I am excited to start this journey, and I am proud to be the first in my family to attend tertiary education,” she said.
“I have always wanted to study at FNU, and to finally get in is a feeling that I can’t describe.”
Rejieli Rakuro was delighted when she enroled in the Diploma in Office Administration (Level 4).
“Out of the four siblings, I am the only one left to graduate in our family. Receiving the offer letter today brings me one step closer to achieving that dream,” she said.
“I am glad that I came today because I was able to receive my offer letter on the spot. The last four years, I was doing missionary work, and after watching my brother graduate last December, it inspired me to pursue my studies at FNU this year.”
Rishna Prakash and her mother and FNU Alumna, Jotishna Prakash were part of the first few people at our Ba roadshow today.
They registered Rishna’s units and were also able to perform cashless payments for her enrolment fees – all at one spot!
“I am so proud that my only daughter is going to FNU! As single mothers we need to believe in our daughter’s dreams and we need to know that they can surely achieve those dreams with FNU,” Prasad said.
Raijeli Cokacini received her offer letter in Child Care Certificate today at our roadshow venue in Nausori.
“This is great to have a one-stop-shop right here in our town. We do not need to go far to collect our offer letter. I am looking forward to this course since i have passion for children development. This is my first step for further studies and i an grateful for FNU,” said Raijeli of Noco village in Rewa.
Mathew Arthur, a former student of Ratu Kadavulevu School, was thrilled to receive his offer letter today in Rakiraki.
“I am so happy. Thank you, FNU,” he said.
Mathew is now enrolled in the Diploma in Information Technology (Level 5).
The Roadshow also offers students the opportunity to apply for university accommodation, a much-needed service for those who will be relocating from outside the region to pursue their studies.
Enrolments for Semester 1, 2025 are underway at FNU and will close on 14 February 2025.
