FNU Launches Roadshow, Opening Doors to Education

Posted On: January 13, 2025

FNU Roadshow launch at Nausori on Saturday, 11 January, 2025.

The launch of the Fiji National University (FNU) roadshow was a success, with events held simultaneously in Nausori, Seaqaqa, and Damodar City Labasa.

Together, these events attracted more than 200 students, parents, and professionals from various fields. Many students left with their offer letters in hand, while others applied on the spot and received their admission offers immediately.

The event in Nausori saw students and parents travel from as far as Gau Island, Rakiraki, Wailekutu, and Naitasiri to seek education assistance.

Similarly, the roadshows in Seaqaqa and Damodar City Labasa were well attended, further showing FNU’s reach and commitment to making higher education accessible to all.

In addition to school leavers, the roadshows also welcomed teachers, police officers, and military personnel keen on upgrading their qualifications, highlighting the university’s broad appeal to a diverse audience.

Parents and students left feeling happy, excited about the important steps they were taking towards achieving their academic and career goals.

Returning to FNU after 14 years, Sabina Nisha from Feeder Road in Nausori has enrolled in a Diploma in Customs at Fiji National University (FNU). She recognises the importance of staying educated in this digital world. “I believe that understanding customs and regulations is crucial for navigating today’s global marketplace,” said Sabina.

For those who missed today’s events, FNU will return to Nausori next week. The roadshow will also visit other locations across Viti Levu, including Navua, Sigatoka, Nadi, Lautoka, Ba, Tavua, and Rakiraki and Vanua Levu for three days, from Thursday to Saturday, over the next three weeks.

This initiative is part of FNU’s ongoing efforts to ensure education is accessible and convenient for all Fijians, regardless of their location or profession.
