Business Intelligence

Business Intelligence (BI) Office ensures FNU’s quality assurance in the various duties that the section performs. The core duties include conducting university surveys and providing reports that are credible for decision making by the Deans of Colleges, Directors, PVCs and Vice Chancellor of the University.

Business Intelligence Office ensures the independence of the surveys, confidentiality of the survey respondents and anonymity of participants. Some of the major University Surveys that the office conducts include Student Course and Teacher Evaluation Survey (CTE), Graduate Employability Survey (GES), FNU Open Day Survey, Disability Survey and any other surveys requested by the Colleges and Divisions.

  • Student Course and Teacher Evaluation Survey

Student Course and Teacher Evaluation (CTE) Survey is an independent feedback survey where students provide their opinion about The Course, The Teaching Team and the Overall experience in the course they are enrolled in. This survey is conducted Online using the Moodle Dashboard Platform. Survey is conducted during the middle of the academic term until the end of the term to ensure maximum participation. CTE survey is done every Quarter, Trimester and Semester. The objective of this survey is to obtain information on the students’ feedback about the learning resources allocated to the course and carry out data analysis and identify key areas of strengths and weaknesses in the course. The feedback report is compiled and provided to Office of PVC L&T for perusal and dissemination to Colleges for review, and monitoring.

  • Graduate Employability Survey

Graduate Employability Survey is conducted in partnership with Fiji Revenue and Customs Services (FRCS) through the MOU Signed in  2019 and renewed in 2024. FRCS generates employability data and provides to FNU which is analysed and a report is prepared. The purpose of employability survey is to measure the employability rate of our graduates in the programs. This survey also helps identify programs with high employment rates and those that need realignment and to prioritise programs that address the human resource needs of the nation.

  • Open Day Survey

The Open Day is an annual event aimed to market the programs offered in various FNU Colleges to attract prospect fulltime and working students to FNU. Secondary school students especially those in Year 12 and 13 are highly encouraged to attend this event as most of the information provided focus on career paths and corresponding programs needed to accomplish it. After the students complete the tour loop ten senior students from each secondary school are given Open Day Evaluation form to fill and submit. The open day survey is conducted to gauge student feedback on the college displays, usefulness of information, availability of facilities, friendliness of FNU staff and students, space to move around and application form for 2025 enrolment.

The response is collected, data entered and analyed. Open Day FNU Staff survey is also conducted Online using MS Form to collect response from staff members. The two Reports are prepared and submitted to Division of Marketing and Communication for future decision making and to improve following years Open Day event.
