Studying law at the Fiji National University has been one of the most transformative journeys of my life. As a third-year law student, I’ve come to appreciate not just the academic rigour, but the real-world relevance of what we learn here. From learning statutory interpretation to drafting litigation documents, every step has deepened my understanding of how law shapes society.
What makes FNU special is the support system of lecturers who challenges me to think critically, resources that prepare me for practice, and a community that values resilience. The COVID-19 pandemic tested all of us, but it also taught me the importance of adaptability and purpose.
A law degree gives access to reform, advocacy, leadership, and good influence and I am always grateful to pursue my bachelor’s in law at FNU. It’s not just about becoming a lawyer but it’s about becoming a force for positive change. Whether it’s helping someone navigate a legal dispute or contributing to policy reform, I know I’m being equipped to make a meaningful impact.
To anyone considering law: it is very challenging, but it is worth it. If you have the passion, the discipline, and the drive to serve others, FNU will help you turn that into a powerful career.
