A proud moment unfolded today for Sowani Sito as he received his Trade TestCertificate in Plumber General Class III from Fiji National University’s (FNU) National Training & Productivity Centre. The achievement marks a significant milestone in Sito’s ongoing journey to advance his skills and career.

Sito joined Tropik Wood Industries Limited in 2020 as a temporary tradesman, quickly proving his dedication and earning a permanent place in the company. His passion for his trade was evident early on, having previously earned a Certificate in Plumbing and Sheetmetal from Naceva Campus in 2016.

Hailing from Nailaga in Ba, his journey into the plumbing trade has been driven by a desire to grow professionally and personally.
Last month, Sito applied for the programme and was part of the Water Authority of Fiji team that sat for the exam at Namaki Nadi.

“This qualification will help me progress further in my career,” Sito said.

“I am grateful that NTPC offers courses like these, which open doors to new opportunities. Age has never been a barrier for me; I believe continuous learning is essential at every stage of life.”

Despite the years, Sito remains eager to hone his skills and embrace new tradesman challenges.

“I would like to thank God and my family for the support they have shown towards me and my education.”
