Simione Labai

On the last day of the Fiji National University Open Day, Simione Labai, a proud son of Naitasiri, from Ratu Kadavulevu School, talked about his goals of becoming a civil engineer.

“The Open Day gave me a clearer vision of the pathway I want to take to achieve my dream career,” Simione said.

Reminding those who were unable to attend the Open Day that “nothing is hard, God will always open more doors.”

For those who could make it, he advised them to take advantage of the chance, learn more about FNU, and start the process of determining their own destiny.

Simione’s narrative embodies the Open Day theme of “Crafting Our Futures Together” this year, as he serves as an encouragement to young people who are pursuing their goals in spite of obstacles.
