Jai Narayan College Students Inspired by Opportunities at FNU Open Day

Sheri Sovasova and Suliana Davetawalu are Year 13 students from Jai Narayan College

Two Year 13 students from Jai Narayan College, Sheri Sovasova and Suliana Davetawalu, both 18, say they were inspired by the many opportunities showcased at the Fiji National University Open Day.

Sheri shared that she enjoyed exploring the various study options available, particularly in the medical field. “There were so many helpful people who explained the different courses I could take next year. I’m really leaning towards the medical field, especially human anatomy. The Open Day gave me so much useful information, and I definitely see myself here next year to pursue further studies,” she said.

For Suliana, the day sparked an interest in the environment and marine studies. “I really liked learning about environmental management and listening to the presentation on marine studies, which I’m very interested in. It was a very good day, full of educational information, and I really enjoyed it,” she explained.

Both students said the Open Day gave them a clearer understanding of the pathways available at FNU and strengthened their excitement for the future.
