From Lekutu in Bua to the FNU Graduation

It’s a proud milestone for Maria Vulavou, who today celebrated her graduation with a Postgraduate Diploma in Midwifery from the Fiji National University (FNU).

The 37-year-old has dedicated 14 years to serving as a Public Health Nurse, and today’s achievement marks a significant step in advancing her professional journey.

A native of Nasau, Nokorotubu in Ra, Vulavou shared that her passion for nursing and midwifery has been lifelong.

“This career was my dream since I was a little girl,” she said.

“It has been a long journey, and everything fell into place at the right time — I had the experience, and I gained the qualification I needed.”

She also expressed heartfelt gratitude to the Australian Aid Scholarship for their invaluable support along the way.

A wonderful accomplishment for a dedicated healthcare professional.
