Mereani Naitekuru

Mereani Naitekuru, a 27-year-old from Yanuya Village in Malolo, is one of the tour guides for the Fiji National University (FNU) Open Day in Nasinu.

Currently enrolled in the Certificate in Food and Beverage (Level 4), Mereani says the experience will be both exciting and empowering.

“Being a tour guide for the three days is helping me build my confidence, especially since it requires me to interact with people. It’s training me to be more vocal and comfortable when engaging with others.”

Through her role as a tour guide, Mereani is not only representing FNU but also putting into practice the communication and customer service skills she has been developing in class.
