Age is no obstacle to learning, as demonstrated by Meroni Vueti, a vibrant 75-year-old community health worker and Sunday school teacher in Maumi village, Raralevu, Nausori.
She actively teaches pre-school children and recently connected with the Fiji National University (FNU) team during their outreach at Nakelo District School.
Vueti emphasised the importance of guiding young students towards their future careers, saying, “Children need guidance as they grow, and FNU’s initiative is a wonderful opportunity for them to explore programme options.”
With Year 7 and 8 students preparing to transition to high school next year, she highlighted the significance of early decision-making.
