It was a special and emotional day for 28-year-old Lindray Saghapoa at the Fiji National University’s (FNU) graduation ceremony last week.

Lindray graduated with a Bachelor of Engineering (Civil) with Honours (Lower Second Class)—but what made the occasion unforgettable was the unexpected arrival of his father, Noel Saghapoa, who flew in from the Solomon Islands to witness his son’s achievement.

“I’m really happy and surprised to see my dad attending my graduation,” an emotional Lindray said.

“I will relish this memory my entire life. Sharing this moment with my dad means more than anything to me.”
