Unit Name: Architecture and Built Environment

Description: This course builds further on knowledge, and skills gained in WWT656 course. The course will explore the past and current trends in Architectural Technology and provide for the future direction of Architectural Design, considering the changes that have come about and continue to unfold in so far as the Built environment is concerned and its sustainability. Together with it is the issue of Quantity Surveying of Engineering materials required and its associated economical and environmental cost. Provision of waste disposal and sanitation (sewer & plumbing) to ensure safe practices prevail throughout the existence of human and non-human organisms. The built environment and its impact on the land, sea, and air resources and the all living organisms is the prime focus of this course (sustainability) of the ecosystem.
