Unit Name: Veterinary Clinical Hospital Pocedures

Description: Topics in this course are aimed to provide hands on training to the students in various hospital procedures and will include Orientation to Veterinary Hospital management and client Communication, Common veterinary drugs and their uses in animals, behaviour, restraining, handling of animals for examination, diagnosis and treatment, Taking History, clinical and physical examinations and Recording, Emergencies, critical care and first aid procedures, Medical Nursing, administration of drugs, collection of body fluid and other clinical samples, passing of stomach /gastric tube/ urinary catheterization, routine preliminary medical care of clinical cases and nursing the poisoned Patient, vaccination of animals, Surgical and anesthetic nursing, operation theatre Management, nursing of the reproductive patient and exotic pets, ward and kennel management, Biomedical waste handling and disposal management.
