Unit Name: Real Estate Management

Description: The course will explore real estate management – what it is and how it came to be while focusing on the ultimate outcome of real estate management – enhancing the value for investors. The course will cover the complexities of managing apartments, condominiums, office buildings, industrial property, and shopping centres. This course covers rental markets, development of rental schedules, leasing techniques and negotiations, repairs and maintenance, tenant relations, merchandising, selection and training of personnel, accounting and owner relations.

Learning Target Outcomes: On successful completion of this course, you should be able to: a. Generate the economics of real estate investment (GPIA-1, GPIA-2, GPIA-3, GPIA-4, GPIA-5, GPIA-6, GPIA-7) b. Working with management clients (GPIA-4, GPIA-5, GPIA-6, GPIA-7) c. Developing a management Plans (GPIA-4, GPIA-5, GPIA-6, GPIA-7) d. Analyse financial aspects of property management (GPIA-2, GPIA-3, GPIA-4) e. Managing the properties (GPIA-4, GPIA-6, GPIA-7) f. Develop the risk management in investment (GPIA-4, GPIA-6, GPIA-7)
