Unit Name: Planning Evaluation and Policy

Description: The course provides students with an insight and the capacity to do an evaluation of planning both ex ante or ex post. Mainly the substance in this course consists of 4 main parts: theory of planning evaluation principles, introduction and proficiency over planning evaluation techniques, practices in the form of making papers and class discussion by choosing a certain planning cases and evaluation technique, and discussion on contemporary issue in planning evaluation. The aim of this course is to review, evaluate and monitor plans and planning processes (CPIA2-10).

Learning Target Outcomes: On successful completion of this course, you should be able to: a. Apply the methods of policy analysis and planning evaluation (GPIA-1, GPIA-2, GPIA-3, GPIA-4, GPIA- 5, GPIA-6, GPIA-7) b. Use the Research skill to do policy analysis process (GPIA-1, GPIA-2, GPIA-3, GPIA-4, GPIA-5, GPIA- 6, GPIA-7) c. Apply crosscutting methods (GPIA-4, GPIA-5, GPIA-6) d. Establishing evaluation criteria (GPIA-4, GPIA-5, GPIA-6, GPIA-7) e. Evaluate the planning policies (GPIA-4, GPIA-5, GPIA-6, GPIA-7)
