Unit Name: Spatial Behavior

Description: This course is being introduced to recognize the aspects of spatial behaviour of people in cites - perception and cognitive spatial representation - are related to urban morphology and the properties of the urban environment. The spatial behaviour of people, as individuals and social groups, will be analysed and discuss with respect to the following domains: way finding, selection of movement routes, pedestrian and vehicles movement patterns, accidents risk, land use patterns, emergence of retail centres, social segregation and crime in the city.
