Unit Name: Computer Aid Design for Planning

Description: The unit incorporates the fundamental knowledge and skill of drawing using a computer aid design software. Students will learn the basic skill of 2D drawing using computer aid design, specify the CAD concept and technique to draw basic shapes and solid figures using CAD Software. The general aim of this unit is students has knowledge and capacity to utilize relevant technical tools for data analysis and mapping, spatial mapping and relevant work production software (CPIA1-03).

Learning Target Outcomes: On successful completion of this course, you should be able to: a. Interpreted the basic drawing, principle and technique using computer aid design (GPIA-1) b. Apply the advance sketching and drawing aids (GPIA-8) c. Demonstrate editing sketched objects (GPIA-8) d. Creating text, table and editing the dimensions (GPIA-8) e. Working with viewport, layout and template drawing (GPIA-5) f. Working with block and the attributes (GPIA-8) g. Understanding the references and technical drawing (GPIA-5) h. Design using isometric drawing and coordinate system (GPIA-5)
