Unit Name: Analysis of Natural Resources and Environmental for Planning

Description: The tools of resources and environmental analysis provide guidance as weight as a development against nature, present against future, and certainty against the unknown. This course will be divided to become three-part. The first part is to introduce environmental economics and provide a review of the more useful tools in the field as building a foundation for the course. The second part lays out some issues and problem faced in resources and environmental management in current areas of interest and concern and explains some alternative to solve the problem and attainment of efficiency. The third part will emphasize the environmental policy and procedure to manage the natural resources and environment.

Learning Target Outcomes: On successful completion of this course, you should be able to: a. Understand the environmental condition in nowadays world (GPIA-1) b. Discuss the primary tools of economic analysis that used in resources and environmental analysis (GPIA-2 & GPIA-3) c. Measure and determine the environmental quality including air quality, water quality, light pollution and noise pollution (GPIA-1 & GPIA-2) d. Apply the sustainability criterion and Convey the relationship between demographic trends and their relationship to the environment (GPIA-2) e. Identify the aspects of environmental economics that transcend national boundaries (GPIA-3) f. Identify and examine the policies and procedures of environmental policy (GPIA-7)
