Unit Name: TVET in Fiji and the Region

Description: Through this course students will further their understanding of the complexities involved in developing a national TVET system. They will analyze national directions for TVET and the current approaches to TVET training in Fiji and compare this to the Australian structure and to at least one other nation in the Pacific. Students are expected to develop and demonstrate analytical thinking skills through active involvement in discussions of TVET systems and strategies in the Region & Fiji.

Prerequisite Sentence: Successful completion of Year 1 and 2 BEdSTVET Programme at the Fiji National University, School of Education.
