Unit Name: Basic Sports Medicine

Description: This course offers students the opportunity to study and learn new ways that may be different from what they have experienced before entering University life. This course offers students the opportunity to study and learn Management of Sports Injuries, both theoretical and practical components. It will also allow students opportunities to do practical works in taping, and learn rehabilitation methods after the injuries have occurred. The students will also have the opportunity to visit hospitals to observe Physiotherapists at work on rehabilitative processes.

Prerequisite: N/A

Prerequisite Sentence: Successful completion of all Certificate IV in Sports Science Units or Equivalent. Matured entry provision as in UASR.
