Unit Name: Sports Tourism

Description: The purpose of this course is to teach students to think critically about sports tourism and its impact on nation development .Topics covered in this course include: sport industries, sport marketing, and sport facility operation. Sports have become a major demand generator for many countries around the world and consequently the growth and status of this phenomenon is a major aspect of this course. The process of creating proposals and bids for sport events will also be discussed.A critical analysis will be made of resource needs, markets and impacts that influence the planning and development of sport tourism events.
