Unit Name: Trade Calculation

Description: The unit is concerned with the practical application of mathematics as a basis for efficient and economic Trade Practice. Upon the completion of this unit, the student will be able to apply the law of indices to simple algebraic equations, use logarithms with products, quotients and powers, and apply formulae to calculate the area, volume and surface area of regular and irregular shapes, solve quadratic equations by different methods, solve simultaneous equations by different methods, and use trigonometric functions to solve industry practical problems.
