Unit Code: PME317

Unit Name: Workshop Science B

Description: This Unit is an introduction to learning and applying the principles required to solve engineering mechanics problems. Concepts will be applied in this Unit from previous courses you have taken in basic mathematics. The Unit addresses the modeling and analysis of static equilibrium problems with an emphasis on real world engineering applications and problem solving. This Unit offers the development of intermediate scientific knowledge and skills for mechanical trades? trainees.

Learning Target Outcomes: On successful completion of this course, Students should be able to: 1. Compare different types of simple a machine and relate them to the actual mechanism in the industry. 2. Exercise proper maintenance knowing the output and input difference and how engineering equipment works with energies and work done.
