Unit Code: PME316

Unit Name: Workshop Science A

Description: This Unit is an introduction to learning and applying the principles required to solve engineering mechanics problems. Concepts will be applied in this Unit from previous courses you have taken in basic mathematics. The Unit addresses the modelling and analysis of static equilibrium problems, emphasizing real-world engineering applications and problem-solving. This Unit offers the development of intermediate scientific knowledge and skills for mechanical trades. trainees.

Learning Target Outcomes: On successful completion of this course, Students should be able to: 1. Identify and able to work with various heat application equipment on engineering materials. 2. Identify different types of forces acting on equipment of different metals in the workshop. 3. Exercise tasks on lubrication and friction-occurring machines in the workplace.
