Unit Name: Computer Aided Design (CAD)

Description: The CAD programmeme is designed to prepare student who possess manual/mechanical drafting skills with entry level skills in computer assisted drafting. Ultimately, these students will be able to find entry-level employment in jobs using CAD and/or further their education in CAD in the community college. Also, people who are currently working in the field are able to upgrade their existing skills. Basic Training in the use of Computer Aided Drawing (CAD) including entity creation, editing, dimensioning, file management, and plotting. Applications will be taken from a variety of disciplines.

Learning Target Outcomes: On successful completion of this course, you should be able to: 1. Compare parameters and units of drawings. 2. Identify commands of simple 2D drawings, blocks, layers and files. 3. Exercise simple construction and Save drawing file. 4. Check general features of CAD.
