Unit Code: PHY801

Unit Name: Research Methods in Physics (Compulsory)

Description: Research methods in physics play a key role to enhance our understanding in different fields of physics like space exploration, thermodynamic, electricity and magnetism, acoustics and aerodynamics. It helps us to answer many of the big questions about our world. Inspired by physics with mathematical methods and rigour, this module will integrate knowledge principally from physics and mathematics in order to equip you with the necessary tools to think critically about the world and how it works. You will gain a deep inderstanding of the physical world and develop skills in analysis, problem solving and critical thinking that will enable you to adapt to a wide range of tasks in research, teaching and management.
