Unit Name: Applied Research in Physical Education and Sports

Description: The course allows the students to engage in the processes and procedures of Research that are aligned with specific topics or subjects in the field of Sports, Physical Education and Health. The course requires the application of research knowledge gained from previous courses. A thorough background in the area of Physical Education and Sports will enable the students to identify issues and topics of research. The course also provides the opportunity for the students to address the research issues and topic identified.

Learning Target Outcomes: On successful completion of this course, students will be able to: 1.2.1. Demonstrate the scholarly attitude. 1.2.2. Carry out investigations and research into Physical Education and Sports Sciences problems 1.2.3.Demonstrate competence in critical and logical thinking 1.2.4. Apply competence in problem identification, formulation, and solution 1.2.5. Utilise information and ideas in the form of a research report.

Prerequisite: A pass in PHE501,PHE502, PHE600 and PHE601
