Unit Name: Measurement And Evaluation in Exercise and Sports

Description: The course engages students in measurement and evaluation of physical performance focusing on the improvement of current practices including standards and norms; in the context of fitness exercises and related Sports performance. The students will be introduced to measurement and evaluation techniques and their applications in physical education settings. Topics covered will include theoretical and practical elements of test construction, grading, alternative assessment strategies, and measurement of knowledge, skills, and behaviors.

Learning Target Outcomes: On successful completion of this course, students will be able to: 1.2.1Evaluate and compare the definitions, processes, philosophies and principles of Research, Measurement, Exercise and Sport; / 1.2.2 Apply basic statistical operations using selected software\'s 1.2.3 Conduct assessment and analysis of physical activities and sports performance 1.2.4 Explain guidelines and procedures of fitness assessment 1.2.5 Compare and judge processes of written assessment development and results 1.2.6 Critically analyze scientific research journals.
