Unit Name: Ophthalmology III

Description: The Ophthalmology III course introduces the students to complex eye conditions and diseases their diagnosis and management. This course will reinforce and develop students’ clinical competency in core areas of ophthalmology.

Learning Target Outcomes: On successful completion of this course, the students will be able to: 1. Assess refractive error, conduct proper refraction and prescribe spectacles in complex cases. 2. Assess and manage complex corneal and external eye problems. 3. Assess and manage complex cataract and other lens conditions. 4. Evaluate and Manage Uncomplicated Glaucoma. 5. Assess and manage severe Uveitis. 6. Assess and manage complex Retinal Conditions. 7. Evaluate complex Neuro-Ophthalmological Conditions. 8. Assess complex Orbital Conditions. 9. Perform complex oculoplastic procedures. 10. Assess and manage complex eye conditions in children. 11. Assess and manage Low Vision. 12. Organize ocular samples and histopathological slides. 13. Assess and manage ocular neoplasms.
